The S6 Ventilation Raise was excavated using a Redbore 90EX raise drill to connect the mine's deep underground workings with the fresh air system from surface. The project was key in ensuring long-term sustainability of the mine by bringing fresh air to its deepest underground workings.
The project was completed ahead of schedule and established multiple records.
