CADIA RAISEBORE DRILLING

The Cadia Mine, located in Orange, New South Wales, is one of Australia's largest and most productive gold and copper mining operations. Redpath commenced operations at Cadia in 2018 to raisebore 3 ventilation shafts up to 6m in diameter. With the successful completion of the initial scope, Redpath has continued providing raisebore services through further contracts at Cadia resulting in a total of 11 more large diameter shafts completed in the following 6 years. In 2021 an additional contract for box-holes and slots was completed.

Using some of the largest, most powerful raise drills available in Australia, Redpath has completed 6km of large diameter underground raises and more than 3km of large diameter surface raises. The team for the project has aligned with the drilling requirements of Newcrest. At times, it was limited to eight (8) personnel with a peak of manning of twenty-two (22).
